SB-47 Medical Cannabis Bill Passes out of Committee
Today, for the first time ever, Medical Cannabis was heard, and passed out of the Licensing and Occupation this morning in Frankfort! Bluegrass Cannabis was front row and we got to see the action happen as medical patients spoke, and the legislation was passed with only one group speaking out against it.
The surprise vote Yes was representative Damon Thayer (R) who has recently changed his position.
The committee convened in front of a packed house and passed the bill 8-3. While a second reading Wednesday, and a third reading and a vote on Thursday, advocates remain optimistic the legislation will pass.
We were in Frankfort today for the vote and the reading and will be updating with more information soon!
Congratulations to all the Kentucky Advocates and Medical Patients who came together to make this happen!
