KY Cannabis is Election Winner
With the Kentucky State election in the books, the big winner was Kentucky Medical Cannabis access, with some major news for Kentucky Cannabis Advocates!
Every single ballot initiative to allow medical cannabis at the county level in Kentucky passed! 53 out of 53 Counties in Kentucky with voter ballot initiatives, passed.
We were glad to have gone and spoken at the Hardin County public meeting months ago, so that the ballot measure could let voters decide last week! You can find a recording of us speaking here, just after Julie Cantwell, and what we said to put agency back in the hands of voters.
You can check for your county below:
Anderson County, Ballard County, Bourbon County, Bullitt County, Butler County, Caldwell County, Calloway County, Carlisle County, Carroll County, Carter County, Clay County, Clark County, Crittenden County, Edmonson County, Elliot County, Floyd County, Grant County, Grayson County, Hancock County, Hardin County, Hart County, Henry County, Hickman County, Jackson County, Knox County, Lawrence County, Leslie County, Lewis County, Livingston County, Logan County, Lyon County, Marion County, McLean County, Meade County, Menifee County, Mercer County, Metcalfe County, Monroe County, Morgan County, Muhlenberg County, Nelson County, Owsley County, Pendleton County, Robertson County, Scott County, Shelby County, Taylor County, Todd County, Trigg County, Union County, Washington County, Webster County, Woodford County.
This is encouraging news, not only for medical patients, but advocates as well. The response from Kentucky Voters and localities is that medical cannabis is a decision for individuals and localities, and they want it! This also lends support to future medical cannabis program improvements, as well as other cannabis legislation!
